Occasionally, good web parts go bad…
One morning you wake up to find your email flooded with system and end user messages that your site is down due to an obscure error. You can’t even get to the point of viewing the page to edit and work with the page.
If you find yourself in this situation and you do not want to go to the extent of restoring a page,you can start troubleshooting your web parts by turning them off one by one to see which one is causing your problems.
The Web Part Page Maintenance page is an easy way to access the list of web parts on any page. Just add ?contents=1 to the end of URL of any page that you want to access the Web Part Page Maintenance page.
